My First Giveaway!

You know, I wasn't too sure about stepping into the blog world. It seemed like a big commitment, and I wasn't sure if anybody would even read it. But people actually are reading it, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I don't know any quilters in "real life" other than my mom, so to get involved in this amazing online community of creative crafters has been so much fun for me. As much as my sweet husband tries to feign interest in my latest fabric purchase, nothing can replace interacting with people who are genuinely into it.

So I think it's time to say thank you. It's time for my first giveaway! Two winners!

Winner No. 1 gets: A custom-designed/illustrated blog header by a professional graphic designer—me. : ) I'll work with the winner to choose colors, fonts, a subject matter for the illustration, etc. Then I'll create something that's uniquely yours and can be dropped into your blog template, along the lines of my header above. If you'd like to incorporate photos into the header (either in addition to or instead of the illustration), that's fine. And if you already have a blog header that you like, I can design a button for your swap/bee instead, or even a custom quilt label that you can have printed on Spoonflower. The choice is yours!

Winner No. 2 gets: These fabulous "Mod Charm" fat quarters from Anthology Fabrics.

So, you know the rules, ladies. You get up to three chances to win.

Chance 1: Leave any comment here. Tell me what you're working on, what you wish you were working on, whatever you want.

Chance 2: Comment that you're a follower. (Reader counts.)

Chance 3: Blog about my giveaway and shoot me a comment on that. I'm still not on the Twitter, so sorry, no chances there.

I'll announce the winners on Oct. 25. Good luck, and thanks for reading!

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.

I just found your blog, and have added it to my favorites! loved your information on Spoonflowering, how great is that! Love your imagination too!! :)

Flo said...

I forgot to mention what I am working on...just started making "postcards" (so much fun), have several sets of placemats to finish for Christmas, love making fabric bowls/boxes, and of course a pile of quilt tops that still need to be quilted and binding added. (and somehow the pile never gets much smaller???!!)

Wow - great giveaway! I'm currently working on a bunch of to-dos, including a rag quilt for my brother, placemats for my Mom, and a Christmas Tree skirt. Oh, and some ornaments for a Flickr swap.

I'm now a follower - great Spoonflower ideas. My daughter just started preschool this year, and my mind is swimming with ideas for teacher gifts, not to mention stuff for grandparents etc.

I don't have a blog, but it would be way cool to have my own custom made Spoonflower quilt label (or fabric)! What a great first giveaway!

I now follow on google reader. So glad I found your blog!

Thanks for the giveaway--maybe I will finally win one of these blog header giveaways! I really like your header :) I am working on a few things, as usual! I am making two quilts for a pair of brothers who have a mom in prison and I am making a quilt for a sweet 13 year old who has had a very hard life-I run a non-profit organization called Margaret's Hope Chest--these three quilt projects are connected to my work there.
Blessings,
Carin

I am working on a baby quilt for a baby that arrived on Monday!! I just can't seem to get ahead....even though I have nine months to complete things things, they are NEVER done on time. I'm using Urban Circus. It makes me think of the elephants marching in the Jungle Book.

Oh, what a wonderful idea for a giveaway!

Right now I'm working on: Tweetygigs for my daughter, and a spring sampler wall-hanging, and I'm waiting for my dad's Sawblades to come back from the longarmer's. I wish I were working on the Quilt of Valor quilt I've got an idea for--it'd be my first original-ish design...
