Friday Flickr Finds - Wonky Star Edition

I love me some wonky stars, but I have yet to try them myself. Wonky is still tough for me—I think I tend to be too tentative with my wonkiness. And when you underwonk, instead of being cute, it just looks like a mistake. But this month, Rachel asked my Do. Good Stitches circle for wonky star blocks, so I'm looking forward to giving this a try at long last. I'm sure I'll get the hang of wonkiness very soon—it's probably just a matter of doing it more often, and this is my chance.

In the meantime, I'm being inspired by some of Flickr's best wonky stars:

  1. I would have trouble doing Wonky too....I even have trouble doing Random, as I found out trying to randomly piece a backing!!
    maybe that is a good quality????

  3. The engineer in me wants everything precisly measured and exact every time. I don't think I will ever be able to do wonky! BTW, as much as I am a BEARS fans... I will be cheering on your Packers this weekend. Good luck.

  4. I haven't done wonky either. So hard for me to to loosen up and just try it.

    Pack: Hmmm, my husband is a Vikings fan from Minnesota, and my friend will be here cheering the Steelers. Maybe I'll just stay in the kitchen and eat...
