Happy Wednesday! Time to haul out those WIPs again ...Ongoing projects:
So, you might remember that last week I wasn't sure if my MMM item was ridiculously awesome or completely insane. Eventually I decided, on the awesomeness/insanity continuum, my plan was a bit far right of crazy, especially with the deadline I was working under. So I changed things up and put together these scrappy rainbow placemats instead, based on Angela's delicious Pink Lemonade quilt. Each placemat is two colors (in addition to white): One red and orange, one orange and yellow, one yellow and green, one green and blue, and one blue and purple. And I would love to have time to make one more: Purple and red, of course, which would bring the set full circle. But mailing for this swap starts tomorrow, so I'm going to quilt these five first, and then I'll make the final one if I have time. I hope my partner will love these as much as I do!
Supernova Quilt-AlongAside from the MMM placemats, I've spent the last week trying to stay current with my own quilt-along. I guess I'm the one person who really does need to get my blocks done on time, huh? : ) Not to worry, my blocks are coming along, and tomorrow's post is ready to go. And I can't get over all the amazing Supernovas I see shaping up in the Flickr group! It's not too late to join the fun, if you've been considering it. Whether you catch up with my posts or you take your sweet time, we'd love to have you!

Your turn! Link up any post from the past week featuring a work in progress. Last week I noticed several posts that only included finishes, so this is just a gentle reminder that there must be something unfinished in your post. A little different than most linkies out there, I know, but that's how we roll here at WIP Wednesday—click here to read more about my WIP "philosophy" and why I started this linky. And please comment on at least a few of the other links—share the love, you guys. A good rule of thumb is to comment on the links right before yours. Have a very productive week!
I think whomever receives those placemats will be tickled pink! They are beautiful!
