First Quilts On the First

Ever wonder about my very first quilt? Okay, you probably haven't. : ) But head over to Gen X Quilters anyway, because the first quilt I ever made is on display there today, in all its wonkified glory.

Thank you, AnneMarie, for your First on the First series. It's been a lot of fun and I'm happy to be included!

  2. with my first quilt, I spent days agonizing over the fabric choice, and it was only a double nine-patch with four fabrics!

  7. Hi Lee,
I'm your newest follower, also from Wisconsin! I loved your story about your first quilt. I think you did an amazing job considering you were a new sewer/quilter. I am pretty much self-taught everything, with a little instruction as a child from my grandma on sewing on an old old Singer and casting on and doing the knit stitch. But I was hooked, and have loved making things all my life. I just didn't know how to do anything. Then I figured it out on my own, unfortunately learning from mistake after mistake. The good news is once you make a time consuming mistake it is a lesson well learned, right?
Please come visit me at my new blog, Ric Rac and Polka Dots. I am brand new, but have lots of fun planned to share with everyone. Bring your friends!!! I hope to see you there.
