  1. Yeah :) Well my weekend is going to be spent trying to redo this sewing table I picked up at Goodwill. First sanding is done, now on to the next step. I have to keep my mind off of things, as the radiologist called yesterday and found a nodule in my mammogram results! URGH... Anyway, enjoy your weekend, and thanks so much for the chance!

My weekend to do list is rather unwieldy so the highlights are a child free evening with my man on Friday :) I'm thinking romantic meal he's probably thinking uninterrupted sport on the tv bless him! Then Saturday I'm going to sew my Modern meadow FQ's into submission so wish me luck!
    How about you?

  4. Ooh ooh ooh - I would SO love to win one of these! I am working on about three quilts simultaneously as there are a whole bunch of friends about to give birth and what is a new baby without a new quilt?!

  5. Oh Cool! I have been looking at these, too. My friend has one and I haven't had a chance to try hers out yet.
This weekend I will be working on the last two blocks for a bee that I joined for Margaret's Hope Chest. These blocks are going toward quilts for children who have a parent in prison. I might also continue painting a chair that I started last weekend. I'm painting it all crazy colors. It was a whim, what can I say!

  6. Hi Lee! Would love to win one of these babies! I put on a sweater this morning which I hadn't worn since last year only to found a little dried-on baby goop on the shoulder - made me feel slightly nostalgic for not having a shoulder-dwelling baby anymore! And not the slightest bit like I wanted to go there again. Just made me smile. And then change tops. Have a great weekend! Danielle

  11. Thanks so much Lee to you and Accuquilt for yet another chance to win one of these awesome machines! I will be spending the weekend quilting on a show quilt for one of my friends. If I finish that I will be teaching my granddaughter to sew. She is here from Alabama for a few weeks. I brought her the end of June and told her if she came, she had to stay until the Alberta peaches came in. She didn't mind at all. So, we are looking at meeting her mommy in Commerce, GA when I go to buy peaches. We are having tons of fun!
I sure hope my number comes up this time! I would love to win a GO! Baby! :)

  15. Hi. I haven't got any great plans for the weekend although sewing will be part of it. I am currently working on a quilt for my parents using Jo Morton fabrics - I have completed it in two halves as it is a king size quilt - I have completed one half and now have to baste the other before quilting it. I am also working on some needle turn applique - I have just discovered the back basting method used by Kay MacKenzie and am loving it. Also want to make a little fabric basket to keep my applique notions in. Thank you for the giveaway. Caroline

  16. These little cutting machines look like so much fun! I will only be doing hand sewing this weekend. My BIL is coming to visit so I need to clean up the sewing/guest room for him. We have not seen him in a year so we are looking forward to his visit!

  18. Wow! What a great giveaway!

This weekend I'm planning on trying my hand at some hand-quilting I've done a bunch of hand sewing through the yeas, but never quilting. I saw a Youtube video that was fantastic. It made it look less intimidating so, now I'd like to try it and practice it. Maybe I'll venture towards doing my crib quilt top by hand?!?

Also I'm excited to go to a new quilt shop. I heard about it this week, the problem is that it is about an hours drive away and I've got tons of material, thus it might take some convincing to get my guy to take me.

Finally, my guy's brother arrives on Sunday night. He's moving here for some contract work. We still aren't sure if he's staying here for the first few weeks or a hotel. I'm crossing my fingers for the hotel.

This week has been much the same, so my hopes for the weekend are that we chill out, together. 134. Great giveaway! I'm finally finishing the very first quilt I ever made with triangles! I HATE it! It is so badly pieced-nothing matches up- and the colors are horrid. It was my first one- I didn't know what I was doing!! However, my boyfriend LOVES it and has been begging me for the past 5 years to finish it for him. So, finally, I'm finishing it!

  138. Hmmm...a crazy thing that my 10 year old son did...somehow his door got locked last night while we are staying at my parents' house. He was sound asleep and nothing will wake him up, not to mention he had music blaring and the light on. After trying to remove the door knob to unlock it unsuccessfully, I took a ladder from the garage and climbed up to his window at midnight in my pajamas. Thankfully the window was unlocked, so I opened it up and finally got him to wake up and open up his door. I made sure to have a bit of fun along the way and made some spooky ghost noises. It was such a comical situation! I felt a bit like a burglar. I hope the neighbors weren't watching!!
And by the way, I would L.O.V.E. to win this awesome tool! Thanks so much!
