I'll be honest—between getting ready for a trip, being on a trip, coming home from a trip, and recovering from a trip, I barely touched my sewing machine this week. In these cases, I usually spend my Tuesday evenings scrambling to find or do something worth taking a picture of for WIP Wednesday, even if that just means pulling a stack of fabric.
But this week I'm not even going to bother with that. Because there's really nothing wrong with a week full of nothing, is there? From now on, if I do nothing, I'm going to say it loud and proud. I did NOTHING this week! There, that wasn't so hard. Nothingness is freeing. : )
So here we go with my listless list.

Sometimes it's nice to take time out and smell the roses. :)
ReplyDeleteAs much as we all love sewing, I think a nothing week happens to us all - and is sometimes needed!
ReplyDeleteI feel like that too Lee. Especially this week.
ReplyDeleteSewing Rehab!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we feel that busy - but at least you earn all respect for your consistency in posting WIP Wednesday on Wednesday ;-)
ReplyDeleteProgress is overrated when vacation and time away with hubby is involved. :)
ReplyDeleteWe all have weeks like that, no pressure, it's not like you were sitting around doing nothing.
ReplyDeleteVacation is way more important than getting some sewing done. Glad you had a wonderful time! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to walk away from the sewing machine once in a while and chill out!
ReplyDeleteNothing happens sometimes! Yup, it's ok!
ReplyDeleteThe back burners wouldn't have gotten any attention if it wasn't a whole lotta nothing week for you. Everyone needs a little pause now and then.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a whole lot of something going on just not at the sewing machine :0). We'll be waiting for your next week :0)
ReplyDeleteHappy sewing
Hey, at least you got to go see the Grand Canyon!! That's super awesome!
ReplyDeleteMust be something going around because I've accomplished pretty much close to nothing as well, but inspiration (and initiative) will strike again soon and we'll be burning the midnight oil at our machines!
ReplyDeleteNo worries! You had a fabulous trip so that is SOMETHING!
ReplyDeleteIt makes you human ;)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful New York Beauty. I've recently had some weeks where I made no progress. It makes it all the more fun when you can start sewing again, though!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with nothing!
ReplyDeleteNo worries! I've been having a whole lotta nothing going on for months! :) I would sure trade quilting time for a vacation with my hubby. How fun!
ReplyDeleteSome weeks that's just how it plays out. It looks like y'all had a great time on your vacation, though. Good luck settling back into your routines!
ReplyDeleteI've had weeks like that too, sometimes it feels pretty good!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's good to take a break ....then you come back refreshed and ready to go!
ReplyDeleteA little down time is important sometimes! Sounds like you've been on the go and it's your turn to take a little break.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to report that I'm a first time 'WIP Weds' linker! I hope to participate in many more!
