Who's Going to Quilt Con?

So who else spent their morning frantically refreshing the Quilt Con website, waiting for registration to open? : ) I'm all registered, and so excited to head to Austin in February!

I got the four-day lecture pass, and one workshop, "Quilting the Negative Space" with Angela Walters. That may not have been the most practical workshop choice, seeing as I don't actually own a longarm. But it just sounded like so much fun!

Who else is going to Quilt Con? Can't wait! See you there!

  1. Can't wait Lee! I'm going and taking Anna Maria Horner's Composing a Quilt class Friday all day, Angela Walter's Quilting Negative Space class Saturday morning and Lotta Jansdotter's Textile Printing class Saturday afternoon.

  2. I'm probably not going to Quiltcon, but wanted to chip in and say I took longarm classes at MQS this spring from Cathy Franks, and I don't have a longarm either. It was totally worth it though; I learned a ton and almost everything could be applied to FMQ on the home machine. Quiltcon sounds like it's going to be awesome!

I'm SO excited for the Angela Walters class! I think that it will be so informational, even for those of us who don't have long arms. :)

  15. I am going, and I'm totally excited. It will be my first vacation with my daughter, who will be 14 months old in February. (My husband's going too, so they'll do stuff together while I am taking classes.)

I got into Anna Maria Horner's Every Last Stitch and the hand applique class. My grandmother, who is a hand quilting and hand applique expert, will be so proud of my choices!
