So who else spent their morning frantically refreshing the Quilt Con website, waiting for registration to open? : ) I'm all registered, and so excited to head to Austin in February!
I got the four-day lecture pass, and one workshop, "Quilting the Negative Space" with Angela Walters. That may not have been the most practical workshop choice, seeing as I don't actually own a longarm. But it just sounded like so much fun!
Who else is going to Quilt Con? Can't wait! See you there!

Can't wait Lee! I'm going and taking Anna Maria Horner's Composing a Quilt class Friday all day, Angela Walter's Quilting Negative Space class Saturday morning and Lotta Jansdotter's Textile Printing class Saturday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteOh! We'll be class buddies!!!
DeleteI'm probably not going to Quiltcon, but wanted to chip in and say I took longarm classes at MQS this spring from Cathy Franks, and I don't have a longarm either. It was totally worth it though; I learned a ton and almost everything could be applied to FMQ on the home machine. Quiltcon sounds like it's going to be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm all signed up too!
ReplyDeleteThursday: Perfect Circles
Friday: AM: textile printing, PM: quilting negative space
Saturday: lectures
Sunday: lectures
I'm SO excited for the Angela Walters class! I think that it will be so informational, even for those of us who don't have long arms. :)
angela walters has been on of the guests on sewcalgal's free motion quilting challenge...she did a tutorial for july...the work is totally able to be done on a DSM...you will love this class...lucky you

ReplyDeleteI had planned to go but backed out today. Too many decisions to make going on in my head right now. I'm probably going to regret NOT going.
