Sparkler Quilt Kits Now Available—Plus a Giveaway

Sparkler quilt
If you've been wanting to make my Sparkler quilt pattern, Christa at Christa Quilts has just made it a whole lot easier!

Christa is now offering a Sparkler Quilt Kit! The kit includes all the fabric you need to make a lap-size quilt top—17 yummy Kona Solids in colors hand-picked by me, plus the white background. The kit also includes fabric for the binding and a hard copy of my Sparkler quilt pattern, all for $79.95. If you've ever priced out quilt kits, you know that's a great deal for a lap-size kit.

This is a great pattern for beginners—the blocks come together simply and quickly. And Christa's kit takes all the guess-work out of the fabric. No having to hunt down the right shades and buy them in 15 different places. Easy peasey.

And hey, Christa is also having a giveaway—you can win a bundle of all four of my hard-copy patterns. Christa is smack in the middle of her "Year of Weekly Giveaways," and my patterns are this week's prize. So head over to her blog to enter—and add her to your feed reader while you're at it, because every Thursday there's another chance to win goodies.

  3. So... how hard is that pattern? is it paper pieced, Y-seam hard, or is it HST hard? (I'm trying to figure out if I want it to be my winter project, because I fricking love it.)

    1. As I said above, it's not difficult at all, it's perfect for beginners. In fact, this pattern originally appeared in Fons & Porter's Easy Quilts. It's all regular old straight seams with the exception of 4 HSTs per block (and they're made very easily, no trimming).
