Summer Sampler 2018 - Chrysler Building Block

What?! The second-to-last Summer Sampler 2018 block was released this morning! Why does summer always have to fly by so quickly? This is "Chrysler Building" by Christopher Thompson, aka The Tattooed Quilter.

I seriously adore this block. Christopher did such a great job of bringing the Chrysler Building's art-deco glamour to this block's design. Another favorite to add to my already-long list of favorite blocks from this year's quilt-along!

Yes, this is another paper-pieced block, but the degree of difficulty isn’t overly high on this one. I enjoyed the piecing and am enjoying the finished block even more.

And look! We get to add another U.S. star to our Summer Sampler 2018 world map! Just one more star left to add, next week. But that doesn't mean you can't get in on the action. Click here to pick up the pattern and make your own Chrysler Building block.

Remember, it's not too late to join us in the quilt-along—click here for all the details! And while you're at it, visit #summersampler2018 on Instagram to see what everybody else is doing with their blocks! See you next Monday!
