I began my career as a news reporter, writer, and editor (which might be one reason why I now love blogging!). Later I made a career change to graphic design, and spent 10+ years designing everything from newsletters and magazine articles to logos and wedding invitations. I started sewing in 2007, when I quit work to stay home with my oldest daughter.
I now have my own line of quilt patterns (click here for wholesale information) and I co-authored the book Vintage Quilt Revival: 22 Modern Designs from Classic Blocks in 2013.

I also teach sewing and quilting classes. I've taught a variety of classes all over the U.S., including at the Modern Quilt Guild Portland SewDown in February 2014. And I love to talk about modern quilting—I lecture frequently at guilds about "modern traditionalism." So please contact me if your shop or guild is interested in having me visit.
