I’m happy to announce that My Perfect Geese Templates are now available! Make Flying Geese units quickly and super accurately by paper-piecing them, using this collection of Flying Geese paper-piecing templates.

Many of you are already familiar with my Perfect HST Templates, which is a way to make half-square triangle units in bulk, quickly and perfectly, with no marking or trimming. Now I'm taking the same concept and applying it to the piecing unit that everybody loves and hates: Flying Geese units.

Of course, you can't make Flying Geese quite as quickly and easily as HSTs using this method, but I promise it's close! And just like my Perfect HSTs, this is ONE PDF that includes more than a DOZEN printable flying geese templates in a variety of sizes and configurations. This one PDF is all you need to make flying geese for practically every pattern that calls for them.

And also like my Perfect HSTs, I've done all the quilt math for you in Perfect Geese. I'm giving you detailed fabric requirements and cutting instructions for every size, every quantity, up to 132 units! So it's super easy to use these templates with any pattern that calls for Flying Geese.

The Perfect Geese Templates are available as an instant-download PDF that includes the following, all for only $9.99:
• Paper-piecing templates to make Flying Geese units in all of the following sizes:
- 1/2" x 1"
- 1" x 2"

- 2" x 4"
- 2-1/2" x 5"
- 3" x 6"
- 3-1/2" x 7"
- 4" x 8"
- 4-1/2" x 9"
• Paper-piecing templates to make multiple Geese-In-A-Row units in the following sizes:

• Step-by-step instructions for using the templates, with photos. You can also watch the video demo right here!
• Complete fabric requirements and a cutting chart for all template sizes, for quantities of up to 132 Geese units—so all the quilt math is done for you!

If you've never paper-pieced before, I know it might sound a little scary, but these Flying Geese units are actually a great beginner-friendly way to try out paper-piecing! My PDF and video instructions will take you through it every step of the way. And the beauty of paper-piecing (and these templates) is that you never have to worry about an accurate 1/4" seam or accurate cutting! Just sew on the line, trim around the edges at the end, and ta da, it's perfect, every time. It really is my favorite way to make challenging units like Flying Geese.

To see exactly how it works, stop over at my YouTube channel and check out this video.. And then head to my online shop to pick up your copy of the templates! It's an amazing technique that I know you will love!
